President and Managing Director Jack O. Hackett
II, joined the firm in 1979 after receiving his Bachelor
of Arts and Juris Doctor degrees from the University of Florida.
While in law school, he was chief tax editor for the University
of Florida Law Review. Mr. Hackett is Board Certified in
Real Estate Law and devotes substantial time to that area
of practice and also focuses on corporate and business law.
He served on
the board of directors and is past president of the
Charlotte County Chamber of Commerce and was a governor's
appointee on the Southwest Florida Regional Planning
Council. Mr. Hackett is a member of the Charlotte County Bar
Association and has served as its president. He served on
the Executive Council of The Florida Bar General Practice
Section in numerous capacities, including chairman, and on
The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division Board of Governors.
Mr. Hackett is past chairman of The Florida Bar 20th
Circuit Grievance Committee C and is currently a member of the
20th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission.
He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the
U.S. Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals; the U.S. District Court,
Middle District of Florida, and Florida state courts. Mr. Hackett
served as Charlotte County 's Republican State Committeeman
for eight years.
