Probate Processor
 

 
 

We have an immediate opening for a Probate Processor in our Punta Gorda office.  Candidates for this position must have a minimum of two years’ experience working in a law office with demonstrated knowledge of probate.  Applicants must be able to take on new challenges and learn quickly.  The successful candidate will possess superior organizational skills and be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Effective communication is vital to this position, requiring strong verbal and written communication skills.  Applicants must possess a commitment to service excellence and the ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.   Candidates for the position should be self-motivated but team oriented and able to work well under supervision. 

The successful candidate will have experience with and be able to successfully carry out the following duties:

·          Preparing and filing papers for appropriate type of administration, from beginning through the closing of probate administration.  

·          Preparing administration papers, inventories and all required documents and accounting for the appropriate administration.

·          Identifying and communicating with creditors.

·          Initiating necessary transfer of assets and supervising distribution of assets.

·          Communicating with personal representative(s), trustee(s), client(s) during entire administration. 

·          Communicating with beneficiaries as needed.

·          Recording and inputting time into MyJuris.

Technical skills required include knowledge of computer systems, MS Word, Excel applications, and the Internet.  Training in Client Profiles and Juris is a plus.  Applicants must be able to type 50 words per minute with no errors and possess above average proofreading skills.  Essential skills needed for this position include organization, workload prioritization, verbal and written communication skills, ability to work under pressure and deadlines, accuracy and attention to detail.
